Youth Empowerment Center Incorporated - The youth of today are our lifeline to the future!

Mission Statement

The Youth Empowerment Center (YEC) Incorporated is a nonprofit, 501c3, organization. YEC's mission is to provide a structured learning environment and enrichment programs designed to help at risk youth in Prince Edward County and surrounding counties.

Program Goals

Provide a safe place for the project's children.

Provide appropriate structure through supervised study and homework assistance.

Create supportive relationships. Foster family involvement by providing parent workshops on how to help their children succeed.

Provide an atmosphere where children feel pride in themselves, through acceptance, encouragement, and accomplishment .

Provide positive social norms such as rules for behavior, and opportunities for developing skill building and organization strategies.

Give youth responsibilities and meaningful challenges.

Coordinate family, school and community support.
